Burhan Wani's successor Zakir Musa killed in an encounter by Security Forces in Tral

The top militant commander Zakir Musa was killed in an encounter in the Tral region of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. An official confirmation is still awaited.

In Dudsara village of Tral area of Pulwama district of south Kashmir, there was firing between militants and security forces on Thursday.

According to reports, a joint team of 42 RR, SOG, and CRPF of the Army sieged Dedasara village in the evening.

A police officer said that action was taken after the input about the presence of militant commander Zakir Musa of Ansar Gazatulam Hind.

The official said the joint team tried to persuade the terrorist commander to surrender, but he fired upon them to flee to the encounter.

Meanwhile, Internet services have been discontinued in most parts of South Kashmir and will be closed in the entire valley soon.

All the educational institutions of the Valley will also be closed on Friday because the guidelines of the government due to possible law and order crisis.
